Aaliyah is good with hiding her true pain with a smile and her occasional pranks. Nobody is able to see through her façade except for Lucas. She actually feels like she can be herself around him. She's the only one that can get him to smile even if she often/always gets on his nerves. He wants to find the reason behind her hidden sadness. Lucas is a tall quiet guy that always looks grumpy. Even though he doesn't talk much the words he does speak are meaningful. Aaliyah takes an interest into him and makes it her mission to get him to be happy no matter how much of a fool she makes out of herself.

Aaliyah has always been good at keeping secrets-especially from herself. The weight of her past, the thoughts she never voices, the nights spent trapped in her own mind. But something is shifting. The silence isn't as heavy. The laughter isn't as forced. And Michael? He notices before she does. He doesn't push, doesn't ask for explanations. But in the way he lingers, in the teasing remarks and quiet understanding, he makes it easier to stay. Healing isn't a straight path-some days, the past still whispers too loud. But for the first time, Aaliyah isn't drowning in it. These are the moments that make her feel alive again, fleeting and fragile, yet real. And one day, when she's somewhere else-when these days feel like a distant dream-she won't remember everything. Not every word, not every glance. But she'll remember how it felt. And maybe, that will be enough.
