Phyre is a bad girl. She is the number one streetfighter in her country, possibly better even than that. But the thing is, no one knows who she is. No one even knows that she is actually a she. Phyre is a completely different person at school, where she goes by her real name, Lila. In school Lila isn't the feared fighter she is in the ring. She is a forgettable, pathetic, so-stereotypical-she-could-be-an-actual-stock-character nerd.

Everything changes for her when she meets Ronnie Travis, the school's number one bad boy. Only she knows he's not as bad as he seems. And not just because she could beat him horribly in a fight. As Lila and Ronnie become closer, the only thing holding them apart is Phyre. He's desperate to know who she is and she's desperate to tell no one.

When Lila's secret is threatened, and worse, Phyre comes face-to-face with a big-time gang anxious for her death, she only has one choice. Handling everything herself. Or... will she finally let someone help her? Will she even survive?
