She worked at the college library, attended her classes, and kept to herself. Until one day, she met Brad. He was handsome and a smooth talker, and she fell for his tricks. He saw her as the perfect target, young, pretty, and naive. After three years of abuse, and the death of her father, Artemis knows she needs to get out of there, she needs a fresh start. She finds a job opening in Tobinville, Louisiana for a librarian and takes the job. She packs a bag, empties her bank account and leaves without a word.
