a walk in the park: (informal) 1. Something that is very easy to do, and usually pleasant. "Love shouldn't be hard, right? It should be a walk in the park; effortless. But this is hard for me." MJ is an ordinary soon-to-be college graduate, who has a thing for Calum, the hot guy he accidentally on purpose happens to see running at the park every night. But he doesn't have the nerve to talk to him. When a squirrel, dog, and fate intervene, MJ is determined to keep Calum in his life one way or another, even if it means not telling the whole truth. But what he finds out is that he's not the only one with a secret. ----------- *Please be aware that this story contains mature content and a few references to suicide/SI, and physical/mental abuse.* Side note: You absolutely don't have to be familiar with 5SOS or any of it's members to enjoy this story, as this is an AU story and not about the band at all. Fanfic readers were (still are?) my audience at the time of writing, so that's why they were used as characters.

"He was the fire. I was the spark. Together, we burned." "In a world of privilege and self-destruction, love is the most dangerous addiction." Description : Ray's world is loud-blaring music, expensive whiskey, the hum of meaningless conversations. He thrives in chaos, numbing himself with parties, drugs, and people who don't care enough to look deeper. That's how he survives. Feel nothing. Need no one. Then there's Sand. Quiet, stubborn, and infuriatingly unaffected by Ray's charm. A scholarship student who works his ass off, Sand wants nothing to do with rich kids who think the world is their playground. Especially not Ray, the walking disaster. But fate has other plans. One reckless night. A bad decision. A connection neither of them can ignore. Sand knows Ray is trouble. Ray knows Sand deserves better. But something keeps pulling them back together-something raw, intoxicating, and impossible to resist. where love is messy, privilege is a curse, and growing up means facing the darkest parts of yourself-can two people from completely different worlds really save each other? Or are some people too broken to be fixed?
