Doctor Abbott has been enslaved by a warrior race called the Joutone. An ancient hybrid of Sasquatch and Human who hide in the farthest recesses of the world.

His master is now king and has decided that Abbott can take his place among their people as a Joutone and soon his blood brother. The problem is that in order to achieve that goal the doctor must be a warrior. Killing goes against everything the doctor stands for, and yet he is left with that choice or to watch his victims tortured at the hands of the king.

A preacher has come to the Islands in search of the faithful. Upon discovering the slave, he is convinced he can save him both from the ruthless king, and the eternal damnation of his mortal sins

The deeper Abbott dives into the Joutone culture, the more his old life calls to him. Once he has passed the Bear Blood ceremony there's no turning back.
