Ever since she was a young girl, Elizabeta Herdervary had her whole life planned out. But an incident involving Gilbert Beilschmidt made her rethink everything. So before starting her senior year in high school, she decides to spend the summer in New York.
Through her grandparents, she is soon introduced to Roderich Edelstein. He is a quiet young man who has a passion for the fine arts. She, on the other hand, is a fearless tomboy who has a love for horses. Despite their stark differences, they slowly develop a close relationship.
After some time deliberating, Gilbert eventually meets up with Elizabeta in New York to discuss the incident that drove them apart. Will she be able to give him another chance? Will her relationship with Roderich be strongly affected by her decision? And how will her future turn out in the end?
