~ I smile a lot because I don’t want people to see how broken I am inside, but sometimes – just sometimes – I wish that someone or anyone would see through me and that person would save me from my misery~

Maeve O’Connor is no weak girl. Constantly struggling, to keep her head above the water. With an alcoholic father who abuses her and her socialite  mother who cares more about which of her friends are cheating on their husbands. She knows that life is either sink or swim. Trying to do her best so she can fix up her life, but everything she does never seems to help. Then she meets a boy, Nolan, who seems to genuinely like her and she gradually falls for him. She has bared her heart to him but there’s something Dan’s not telling her and she knows it. Will he keep his secret and risk their relationship or will he be the one to save Maeve?
