Persephone, Queen of the Underworld, hates her husband. She's hated him for centuries, but she didn't always hate him. Before he tricked her, she used to admire him. But that admiration is long gone. Now, she begs Zeus and Poseidon to release her from the marriage, horribly unhappy and despairingly hurt. Poseidon caves, promising that if she gives his brother a change, if she tries to love Hades, and finds that she truly, honestly cannot love the God of the Underworld, then he will ask Zeus to end the marriage on her behalf. She accepts, thinking it easy to trick Poseidon by playing nice for a while, but when she gives Hades a chance, she realizes that Hades is more than she ever thought he’d be. Thrown into emotional turmoil with the newfound discovery, she accompanies him to Olympus, and to the mountain where the monsters of the defeated Titans were caged, released a month earlier by the Titans themselves. One monster remains, one that none of the Gods ever thought they would be forced to face again. One that threatens the life of Persephone, draining her essence with every passing hour, sending Hades into a craze. A new love building, the threat to lose Hades, and the weakness as the monster slowly consumes her, Persephone is faced with a choice: a sacrifice or a loss. -LOOKING FOR COVER ART-
