Avery had an abusive childhood until his father killed himself and Avery's mother. He  had been in a foster home for 11 years until a very caring family adopted him. 

Avery didn't believe in love at first sight until he saw his new brother. (They aren't actually brothers) kenneth, his "brother" and Avery ended up in a relationship together.

Soon enough, Avery catches Kenneth cheating on him. Avery eventually became very depressed and so did Kenneth. 

Avery met a new boy named Caleb, and the became a couple together. Kenneth noticed that Avery would come home from Caleb's house full of bruises and cuts. And kenneth could no longer see hapliness in Avery's eyes.

Caleb tries to kidnap Avery, and he hurts him more than he ever had before. Kenneth finds Avery with a huge cute down his stomach, and there's too much blood.

Kenneth brings Avery to the hospital, and the try to stitch him up, but when Caleb cut open Avery's stomach, he also cut part of his heart.. Kenneth doesn't leave Avery's side for the entire time that he is in the hospital. 

Avery's heart monitor stoos beating, and Kenneth doesn't know what to do other than watch the doctors take him out of the room. Will Avery get through this? Or is kenneth going to be left alone and heartbroken..? Because he knows that Avery is the one for him. And he can't leave his side.
