Imagine your surprise when you wake up and you think you are being ignored or invisible to everybody. But, the truth is you are in Limbo. A place for all souls who are close to dying, although they have a chance to come back to reality as well. So, this would mostly freak out some people (especially Noelle). However, Beck came along and help her get used to this ordeal. Since, you could be stuck in limbo for a long time.
Noelle thought she needed Beck, even though it was Beck who needed her to bring him back to life.
