A world were only the strong and wise survived the destruction caused by the exons (race of super beings created by the government).  Yet for some reason a weak one remained. The exons are baffled. They cannot come up with a logical reason for this one's survival. The last remaining one, was the first one born after the destruction. A baby is the one that baffled the exons.  For the exons were created not born so they do not understand where this new weak one came from.
