Professional contractor Alick Durare is sent to start trouble between two mafia families. The task itself is not too much of a challenge, however it came with unforeseen consequences: accidentally catching someone else in the crossfire. Not wanting to leave them behind, Alick flees with a shaky partner in tow and tries to find a new life for them.
This is my first published work. It was originally a short story written for my friend's birthday, but I decided to share it out. I would greatly appreciate some feedback about the writing and I do hope you enjoy the story.
