Based on two songs by Skillet "The Last Night" and "Yours to Hold" ; this story deals with abuse, self-harm, depression and many other issues. I would also like to take the time to clarify that while I have struggled with depression, self-harm, bulimia and other struggles; I have never been abused the way Rory is. My goal in writing this is not to bring up painful memories for anyone else...or to portray them in a way that is incorrect or callous. If at any time something I write does not seem in anyway correct please inform me so that I can fix it. Thank you.

Aurora Jameson is the girl that no one really pays attention to. She hangs her head low, her hair falls into her eyes, she's shy and insecure. But something about her catches the eye of Ian Petrovol. He sees the little things about her that no one else notices. How she covers her wrists with bracelets, how she hurries past everyone eyes at her feet. She doesn't eat, her eyes are always shadowed and she cringes at loud noises. He feels for her, but it seems there's nothing he can do.

But when the perfect opportunity to help her surfaces will be horrified by what he finds? Or will he take the chance and fix what the world broke...her spirit.
