One Shade of White tells the stories of two step sisters, Alicia and Kirsten Crawford. Alicia was always the good girl, but a tragic memory haunts her and makes her want to change. One mistake gets her kicked out of boarding school and sent home to complete what seems to be an infinite amount of community service. She holds the secret of what she did close to her heart and far away from everyone else. Kirsten finds herself in a situation that she never thought was possible at fourteen. She's pregnant. Now the choices loom over her head. Will she abort, adopt, or keep the baby? Alicia is furious at her or so she seems to be, when in reality she's angry at their father for being so compassionate to Kirsten and anything but to herself. They both must come to terms with what they did and learn how to live with the consequences.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
