Joanna Ross isn't all that popular, at the age of 16 in her junior year of high school, she prefers to remain quiet and unseen to other students at her school. She has two best friends that she absolutely loves but that's about it. Joanna struggles through her life as her mother suffers from depression and refuses to pay for anything. Both of her older brothers are unaware of this fact as one is in college and the other is rarely home due to his obsession with partying and girls. Joanna has been working illegally at a biker bar for the past 6 months to try and pay for mortgage, food, and other expenses. No one knows about her secret, not her brothers, not her best friends, no one besides her coworkers and boss.
