The year is 2043, and the United States is on the brink of a war with an unknown nation. Realizing the impending war, all Americans begin to tie up ends with each other. Everyone is more pleasant and kind to each other. They begin fixing their wrongs and tying all loose ends.
However, for a 17 year old girl, those loose ends are harder to tie up. Adelaide Cate is told that she was in a bad accident and in and out of comas for 3 years. She can't remember anything from those years, but she feels there was more than what her parents told her.
The war still rages on and Adelaide knows she only has a number of days to figure out the missing pieces of her memory.
But she wants to continue her education and go to school. While at school, she meets someone that may be able to help her fill in those blank spots, but for some mysterious reason he hates her.
So she stands on the brink of something great as the war threatens to push her over.
