The massive city known as New York was peaceful and resourceful filled with color, talent and opportunities at each corner but all that changes 3 years ago.
The sudden appearance of superhuman abilities known as 'Trump cards' has been increasing since then and unfortunately most of the abilities belonged to selfish and horrible people who doesn't care about the people they hurt or kill. From speed, strength, flight, necromancy, etc. New York city was plunged into darkness.
Non supers was fearful and were defenseless and no matter how much the authorities try to stop them it will only end with more blood shed.
But even the smallest spark of hope can ignite change and in time five talented teens were kidnapped by the FBI and given bizarre powers. Now these teens must protect the public while try to live their lives as normally as possible with a huge responsibility hanging over their heads and soon they will all learn what it means to be a hero.
This the remake of my first story on wattpad project mishap . I wanted to do this because I really wanted to fix everything that was wrong with it like the story line, the pacing of the story and the corrections. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. And if any of you got any of the references in this description, give yourself a pat on the back. That is a beautiful thing. All of the thugs layed on the floor unconcious. I did it! The hostages stood there, staring at me in shock. News helicopters flew around the building. I walked to the shattered window I entered. The cops were below, just entering the building to rescue the hostages. "Thank you" I heard one of the hostages say. I turned around to see an older woman. "What is your name?" she asked. I couldn't tell her my real name. I was just an 18 year old girl trying to finish high school. I never expected any of this. I knew that the powers I had were a blessing. A blessing that needed to be protected. I looked to see her waiting for my response. I said the first name that came to my mind.
