"It's already 7:03 am. Why haven't they stopped?" Kim asked.

"Remember after 7, all crime and murder are to be illegal and all medical emergency services are available," Jackson said.

"It's past 7 though and not a single cop is out there!" I yelled.

"It's only been 3 minutes, Aria. You have no chill at all whatsoever," Caden face palmed and sighed.

"Guys, come look at this!" Kim called out.

The tv turned itself on. "This is not a test. This is your Emergency Broadcast System announcing the commencement of the Annual Purge--"

"What the fuck," Ethan and Caden said.

"This can't be happening," said Kim.

The tv suddenly turned off without finishing the rest of the announcement. Then, it turned back on. But this time, it was a masked man holding a girl by the throat.

"Shit!" I muttered under my breath. He pulled open the door and headed for me with a smile that made my skin crawl. I withdrew my gun from my bag and hid it under the table. "Ah Blake Reid. At last we meet!" He pulled out the chair directly across from me. "Who are you and why have you been following me?" I growled. "I'm the man who is going to kill you," he gave me a masochistic smile. I withdrew my gun from its place under the table. It was pointed between his eyes and I took pleasure in the shock that was on his face. He had only gotten his gun halfway out. The staff was still unaware of me holding a gun to this man's head because they were all around back in the kitchen. "Sorry, but that's just not going to happen," I said sweetly. "In such a public place? How brazen of you," he challenged in a shaky voice. "Yes, all the staff is in the back where they can't see us. Oh and if you didn't notice, there's a silencer on my gun. Say good-bye my dearie," I pulled the trigger and sent the bullet through his head. Blake Reid isn't your normal 17 year old. She's an assassin on her last case... or so she hopes. She is having difficulty with memories of her past and can't seem to get out of her shell, even though that is one of the biggest assets needed for her assignment. We have our enemies and we have our group. /////////////////////////////////////////////////// I got to find her. I have to. "We have to find her." I said to Jeremy. "Okay. But when?" Jeremy asked. "Right now. Go pack your stuff." I ordered. "She could be hundreds of miles away Logan." Jeremy said. "Does it look like I give a sh*t!" I said loudly. "No. I'll go pack my bags." Jeremy said walking inside the house. "Thank the lord. Tell Anniston,Alivia,and Katie to pack their stuff too." I ordered. "Okay." Jeremy said. She's alive? Has she been alive this whole entire time? And I've been here...not searching for her. "Who is it?" I whispered to Katie as we hid behind a shelf in the back of the store. "I don't know." Katie said nervous. "Alivia....Katie....where are you? I know you're hiding." Someone said. Me and Katie just stared at each other. "Come out, come out, where ever you are." Someone said. We could here the person walking around. I'm pretty sure he's a man. Then all of the sudden we here this huge bang. "Come on! So your face!" We just sat there, knowing when he finds us he'll do something to us. Then he jumped out of no where right in front of us. "Stand up!" He yelled and we just sat there frozen in fear because all we brought with us was knives and he was pointing a gun at us. "I said stand up!" He yelled and we stood up. "Grab em boys." He said and two other guys walked up beside him.

You grab them by their vest and push them against the wall. You look up. "König? Why are you following me?" He instantly looks away. "I... well-" You stare him down. Gripping him by his mask, you pull him down towards you. "König? Why. are. you. following. me" Your voice stern this time. His eyes widened at your proximity and immediately blushed, but his mask covered it. "Y/n, I, um-". "What's going on?" You both look to your left to see Ghost glaring with arms crossed. You instantly let König go. "Nothing, Lieutenant. Sorry for the commotion." Giving König one more glance you turn and walk away. Ghost looks down at König and sighs. "If you want her to like you following her around like a creep isn't the way". König looks down ashamed. "I know..." But to my surprise, the car swerves to the side slightly next to me and comes to a stop. I take a deep breath I didn't know I was holding at the driver's side door swings open and a very pissed off Axel steps out. "Thank god," I mumble and place my hands on my knees to catch my breath. "Blaze?" He says and I hate it. I hate how he says my name as if it's his. Like he knows it's the only thing I want to hear, him calling out to me, looking at me, focused to me. It's the first time in my life I wanted someone's attention so badly I didn't care how I got it. And that was too dangerous for me to hold onto. "Are you insane or some shit? I could have killed you!" He says and starts to walk towards me. I take a big breath and step back away from him, "s-stop! Axel," I stutter still panting. It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. "Don't run from me Blaze it won't go well," he growls reading my thoughts causing me to freeze in my spot. "Do not ever think you can get away from me."

"We have a 911!" One of the ambulance guys yelled. "What happened?" I ask walking out to the front sliding my gloves on. "I don't know we got a call saying that some guy had been shot he was sitting in his car when some guys came up and opened fire." He replied. "Alright follow me," I say walking back into the hospital. I was just about to go home to my six-year-old daughter Alexis who was staying at my mom's house with my Lil sister Anita I was supposed to be home hours ago but some things had come up so I kind of had to stay behind. "Okay on the count of three." "1...2...3..." I yelled as we laid him up on the table. "Now that we have that out the way let's find out who this person is," I say removing the mask from his face. Tears started to escape my eyes as I looked down at the guy laying in front of me. Never in a million years did I think I would see this guy again my first love my first everything. I remember when I first met this man.

The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" I ask, swinging my feel a little. He shakes his head shyly, his mouth not moving at all. Geez! Why do I want to hear this dude talk so much? "Okay, that's fine. I can give you a nickname." I offer happily. He looks up from his book, raising his eyebrows. I just stare for a moment. He has nice eyes. Pretty brown chocolate orbs. They remind me so much of....... "Teddy." He shakes his head immediately, frowning. "What, why not? You remind me of my old teddy bear. He was a good listener and he didn't talk much..... just like you." I say softly, tilting my head. He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?" He sighs, the first sound I have ever heard him make. "No." . . . *Jordan* Teddy!? Seriously!? She gave me a fucking NICKNAME!? What the hell does this girl want!? I stuff my hands into my pockets, walking down the busy street. Forget about her. She's just a annoying pretty girl, she'll go away. Everybody does. She HAS to go away. *Spoiler alert*: she doesn't. Don't get close to people or they'll end up getting hurt. That's my mindset. I've been through enough of that. This girl doesn't belong in my world anyway. She's too innocent. *Mature content* {Just a quick update, I am basically rewriting the story. I wrote it when I was in 8th grade and it makes me cringe every time I try to go back and edit it so keep in mind that it'll get better}

He said with a dark, weary look in his eye. I slam my hands on the desk and stand up. "I am doing everything I can!" I yell anger laced in my voice as it flowed through my veins. Suddenly the lights went out; a flashing red light comes on as alarms sound. "You need to do more." Aiden says. "Otherwise this. It's never going to stop." "They're attacking." I realize. "They're always attacking. And they're not going to stop until we're dead." "Or surrender." I mumble and Aidens head snaps up to look at me. "You won't. You can't." "No, what I can't do is kill Felix." "The man you loved isn't there anymore. Can't you see that? He's gone. A monster wears his skin. What's it going to take before you realize that?" I shake my head. "Evacuate. Make sure everyone gets out of here. No one dies today." "Well, someone should. And we both know who it needs to be." Aiden says before he leaves the room. I know Aiden is right, but I can't kill Felix, even if he keeps trying to kill me. I shake my head and sit back down. Just because everyone else was leaving didn't mean I had to also. Maybe I can talk some sense into him. I sigh. I've tried to already, but maybe this time it will be different. Maybe I should tell him the truth. Maybe I should tell him Nadia is his daughter. The door to my planning room is thrown open but I stay seated. I look up as men flood into the room, soon followed by Felix. His emotionless eyes find mine and he cocks his gun. "You should have run with the others."
