"No Lang, I can't do this." Melissa told her husband.
"Lissa, you are the strongest girl I know. I know you'll survive through it all and so will our love." he replied.
"This case is hard, Robbie. I'm not sure I can do this. Especially not without you."
"I have to take this job. I promise I'll be back." He placed one last kiss on her perfect lips, smiling at her. "I love you."
"I love you too." I say, watching him leave.
How could he do this to me? To us? she thought.
He took an unpredictable job, one that could cost him their love, and his life.
