Medication

"You should really watch where you're going." His voice was deep and loud, sending a chill down my back. I can barely make out his face in the dark. His green eyes drooped down at an angle beneath his furrowed eyebrows. He reeked of alcohol and sweat. I nod and try to make my way around him, but he wraps his hand around my arm.

"Tell me," His raspy voice spoke. "What are you doing out here all alone?"

I try to free myself from his grip, but the more I struggle, the tighter his hand becomes. I'm certain that there will be a bruise tomorrow where his fingers are now. With a gentle touch he pushes my hair away from my face. I force my eyes shut and cry out when he roughly pushes me against the brick wall behind me.

"Please." I beg him to release me.

"What is it?" He asks, his hot breath fanning my neck, and his fingers tracing my jaw line.
The confines of my home seem like a dream right now. "Leave me alone."

I open my eyes to see him smirking, a street light above us casting a shadow over his face. "If only I could."
