Cedar Hill was full of the worst.

It was full of gangs and murderers. No one thought to tell my parents about that when the first bought the house online. The only thing they really only cared about was that it was in the zoning area of the "prestigious" school my mom wanted me to go to. The house was indeed beautiful but maybe that's why they say not to judge a book by its cover.

I never really noticed anything until at least 1 week.

That was when the fights began to really happen. I remember one sleepless night, I was watching TV trying to fall asleep when it happened. Two gunshots breaking the silence I once so much hated.

Two seemed like such a little number. It really did. No one would expect such a little number to commit such an extravagant act. It was little, but it was enough. Two gunshots to the head was enough to take away two very beloved lives.

My mother and my father.

I remember calling my mom over and over again to tell her about what happened. I eventually fell asleep, thinking it would all go away, but once I woke up in the morning not to the sound of my lovely parents arguing about what they should serve for breakfast no, but to the sound of police officers deciding who should be the one to tell the little girl her parents have been killed in a robbery.

I was only 16

I was only sixteen when money thieving street rats took the life of my parents.

And now I'm going to find them.
