This is a How to Train Your Dragon fanfic taking place after the first movie, and closer to the Netflix series which seems to be taking place before the second movie for... character reasons...
Hiccup and Toothless are out flying (as per usual), when something flashes into Hiccup's mind. That night he's plagued with a nightmare and wakes up feeling as if the shores of Berk were screaming at him to investigate. The moment he lands on the beach he finds a shipwreck and throughout all the wreckage he finds the boy from his nightmare, bleeding, and barely alive. Who is this boy? How did he get here? Why does he have such a deep connection with dragons? What secrets does he hide? And why in the Archipelago will no dragon allow the boy to ride them?
I know this concept is rather cliche from what I've read about Hiccup meeting a shipwrecked OC and falling in love with them and leaving Astrid as a friend but I hope that the other aspects of this story are unique enough. I could use some help with keeping the characters in character so I hope I can count on my readers to help me with it!

It's the story of a young Viking. Actually, he isn't that young anymore. He's 23 years old now. His name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. 8 years ago, he had to run away from his beloved home Berk because he became best friends with a creature that no Viking should ever become friends with: a dragon. Hiccup and Toothless left Berk thinking no one cared. Being the neglected child of Berk (despite his family, and being the heir to the village), Hiccup decided he'd had enough. He took Toothless and his most treasured belongings and high-tailed it out of there. When he runs into his long-lost mother, life looks up for Hiccup. He's found a place where he belongs. Meanwhile, on Berk, the village assumed Hiccup was dead by a Night Fury's doing and left it at that. Astrid and her friends, however, didn't think such. When a surprise trip overseas and an unfortunate turn of events allows the Berkians to find an odd nest in the middle of nowhere, they may prove that the lost heir to Berk isn't as dead as everyone thinks. //story takes a turn for the worse like halfway through bc i stopped editing it. also i wrote it when i was like 11-12Terminé

How would the story go if Hiccup had been taken by Cloudjumper instead of Valka? What if Hiccup was raised by the dragons, in the ice sanctuary, for twenty years? Until one day, he finds himself stuck on Berk. Discoveries are made, new friends are found, and Hiccup's life changes significantly. Will he go back home to the ice sanctuary and forget about Berk? Or will he stay to someday lead his people? ~~~ (COMPLETE ✔️) This story is a little bit of a mix of a lot of different fanfic ideas. Also I don't plan things out like most other writers. Long Live The Leaders
Based after How To Train Your Dragon: Hidden World and during the new Netflix series Rescue Riders. ------------------------------------------------------------ Since the dragons left Berk to live in the Hidden World, Hiccup had been missing Toothless desperately. Same would be said for Toothless. He missed his best friend. Besides from that, everything was going great for the both of them. They had started families with their lovers, Toothless was going good as the Alpha/King dragon and Hiccup was performing his duties as the Chief of Berk very well. But despite their lives being close to perfect, neither of them could shake the feeling of missing each other. So Astrid came up with an idea. Hiccup and Toothless could catch up while they go away for a couple of days. Both Berk and the Hidden World would be looked after well by their leaders wives. Hiccup and Toothless thought it was a great idea, so they accepted. And there was no doubt they were excited. But what would happen if they were caught in a terrible storm and crashlanded onto an island? With Toothless' self-working prosthetic tail broken, they needed supplies to fix it. But what if the island's protecters, the Rescue Riders, thought they were a threat and didn't know that they were about to fire blast the famous Dragon Master and powerful Alpha? ------------------------------------------------------------ I don't own anything except the plot of this FanFiction.
