"Good bye Chat." Those were the last words she ever spoke to me. They were cold and hard with tears streaming down her face. She used her yo-yo to quickly get away and I just stood frozen in my place.
I didn't want to say goodbye and I had a huge choice to make. Run after her like the old days or simply let her go? Well they say if you love someone, let them go. And that's exactly what I did. But they also say if they really love you they'll come back. And I know you will someday Mari. Perhaps not today but I'll be waiting for you, always.

Miraculous: The Adventures of Ladybug and Chat Noir - Adrien and Marinette, oblivious as always. As tension between the pair increases, so does their inevitable love square. She pressed her palms against his chest and his warm breath ruffled her fringe. Chat offered her a small smile, her heart hammering in her chest. "And sometimes..." he dipped his head down to hers. "We cats tend to stray." ~~~ While out one night in the park, Chat Noir finds Marinette and tries to escort her home safely. But she's injured protecting him from an akuma and he feels responsible for her. Intent on making it up to her, Chat Noir visits her regularly to make sure she's doing well. But it doesn't take long before their meetings become more than just casual check-ups. Bad things happen when superheroes fall for civilians, but even with the threat of Hawk Moth looming around, Chat can't seem to stay away. Will the risks be worth it in the end? Because this cat's curious, And his bad luck might just start catching up to him... Minor Adrienette and LadyNoir. Based off the events of season one only and set two years in the future. A Masked Game

The cold night air made Marinette shiver and cuddle into the red scarf that wrapped around her neck. She looked at the bright lights of Paris, of her city. A city of love.
