I blinked and he was in front of me, his breath hot against my ear. “I will be back for you, Katherine. Count on it.” His words sent shivers down my spine and I shrank back instinctively. He smiled a sinister, deadly smile right before I blinked again and he disappeared. Standing there in awe, I could have sworn two of his teeth had been more pointed and sharper than the rest. And then I fell into oblivion.
