Cartia Warren isn't crazy. She’s just…different. But somehow being different caused her to end up expelled from school and in a mental hospital, so perhaps she’s crazy after all. Once Cartia manages to escape the loony bin, she has to find a way to rebuild her life, starting with her new school. But boarding school at Mallcoway College isn’t what she expected. She’s always had suspicions that people are trying to kill her, and it doesn’t exactly help when a Mallcoway student ends up dead in Cartia’s first week.

The killer could be any student at Mallcoway, but like Cartia, each student has their own 'reasons' for becoming a boarder. Just when life seemed to heading in a normal route, Cartia might just lose everything. Again.
