It all started out with a simple collab between friends. . . .
Markiplier and his friends, Jacksepticeye and Pewdiepie, decide to do a collab with a new multiplayer game that just came out called "Spiritual Plains" for old time's sake. Thinking nothing ill of the strange game appearing on each of their labtops without any of them hearing or paying for the game, they all contact one another and decide to do a large collab because nothing interesting had been going on for the first couple days of the week.
After loading on and preparing for another round of colorful language and playful hatred, something goes wrong, and the three of them are transported into a world of incredible proportions - with no way out but to play.
Now the three friends must find a way to escape this place, without dying on the way out, and retrieve "the parts of them that have been lost". All the while getting used to the strange forms each of them had been turned into from first entrance.

The "egos" are just some fun characters created by Markiplier and Jacksepticeye. Unless they happen to be two sets of best kept secrets, that Mark and Jack are sick of carrying around with them. When the guys go to strange lengths to try and rid their lives of the paranormal duplicates, things only get stranger. No one expected them to shrink, but now that they have, the guys realize they may have created more problems than they solved. (( This is a long, chapter story. Completed. Yeah, I made the egos tiny. I woke up in an unfamiliar place. I was in a room with TVs all stacked on the wall in front of me. I felt of ping of pain in my head and my memory came flushing back. Suddenly, the TVs flashed to life, all sitting on static. Jack's face came up on the screens, with each one showing a different part of it, making it look more like a movie theater screen. Well, a distorted version of him. Hey eyes were pitch black with a green iris, and there was a slit on his neck with a layer of dried blood. "J-jack? H-how? Why?" "You don't remember me either? Jeez you guys are just the definition of out of sight out of mind, huh?" he cradled the knife in his hands. His image glitched and convulsed on the TV, which I assumed was some kind of special effect. "If you're not him, then...who are you?" "Me? Well.." he giggled. All the TVs went black. As he spoke the next sentence, he would appear on a different screen with each statement. "I'm the one...the only...the all-powerful...Antisepticeye!" ----------- Mark decides to stay at Jack's house during a special, one-time convention over in Brighton. But ever since he got there, Jack was acting strangely. First being late to the airport, nightmares, even having full blown panic attacks. Mark does his best, but he has absolutely no idea what's wrong. Soon enough, he finds out. And it's NOT was he was expecting. One and The Same (a Jacksepticeye and egos AU story)
For years, scientists have wanted to see if they could extract a human conscience and split it into its individual parts. Over and over again they tried and over and over again they failed. Until one day, when they found a way that they were sure would work. The problem: they needed a brand new test subject. Enter Jack. Jack (known as Jacksepticeye on youtube) was kidnapped by the scientists and experimented on. His conscience was extracted and split into individual parts, his body was cloned and the main bulk of his conscience was implanted back into him. Jack survived the experience with very little physical and mental damage and the experiment was deemed a success. And so, the egos were born. They and Jack were kept in the lab and experimented on until the opportunity arose to escape. Once they are released into the real world, Jack discovers looking after multiple clones of himself who know nothing about the outside world is going to be a lot harder than he thought. And to make things worse, Jack is now sharing his mind with Anti. Where the others just want to live their lives as normally as they can, Anti wants revenge. He wants the world to know what they have been through and he wants the scientists to burn for what they did. He craves attention and is willing to get it in any way possible, even if that means putting the group's new-found freedom in jeopardy.Complete
