Everybody has their story. You know: Snow White, Cinderella, the whole nine yards; and Castiel would like to say that his started when he was born, but it didn't. Not really, anyway. His story started when he went to Ladybird Diner in Lawrence, Kansas and met the one and only Dean Winchester. Well, I'm sure there are other Dean Winchesters as well, but it's more than likely that none of them have charm quite like the one Cas fell in love with, a sempiternal gem that would wrap its way around Cas' soul, or whatever he has, and squeeze it so tight it'd nearly explode.
WARNING: There will be times during the course of this story when controversial topics will be spoken of. Also, if you don't like smut, you might not want to read this because I will almost definitely be adding some at some point.

Dean couldn't help but feel an ache in his chest every time he sees him, but he had no clue why. Castiel Novak only had two years of school left before he could finally escape the hell that is Sioux Falls High School. Every since he moved here he's had a hard time making friends. After all, being gay wasn't a good thing to be at his school. He would constantly get mentally and emotionally abused by his classmates. Two more years, he kept telling himself, and then he would graduate and get a degree in fine arts. When the new English teacher, Mr. Winchester, shows up Castiel immediately takes interest. Cas and Dean are seniors in high school and they've been best friends since they were five years old. They know everything about one another, or so Dean thought. Oblivious, Dean launches into a new relationship with a girl he meets at the mall one afternoon, and it tears Cas apart seeing Dean with her, especially when it looks like for the first time in his life, Dean is getting serious about a girl. Charlie, being the good friend she is throws a party and invites Cas. There's an interesting guy there that catches Cas' eye. Sweet fluff ensues, and it's soon after that Dean learns Cas' biggest secret. He is also faced with emotions he has never felt before, especially in regards to Cas. He finds himself jealous and angry when he sees Cas with Luke, and at his brother's suggestion he decides to confront his true feelings for his best friend, and tell him how he really feels. There is a lot of pain and heartache in the beginning for Cas, but I swear it ends on a good note. I hope you all enjoy!Complete
