I am saddened, incredibly saddened by what is happening in our country, and I needed to write about it. It just spilled out of me, to be honest. All lives matter, yes, but right now...in this moment....black lives need to matter, we are important too.

Stop rationalizing the deaths of fathers, sons, husbands, friends, uncles, brothers, teenagers, teachers, CD slingers, men or women just because it fits a particular agenda. There are undoubtable inconsistencies within the justice system, and I vow now that my little brother will not be the next hashtag.
A change is gonna come. ✊

I was so powerless in that moment that I couldn't even fight with him. Love makes you strong. I have heard and felt that countless times but they always forget to mention what comes after that. I have studied business, economics, commodity trading, carpentry, and other functions within our society, all which have led me to write this story, the story of a burning son. So what is The Burning Son all about? It's a quest to change the way we perceive our global society, and an effort to change the way we look at our history and our future.
