Echo Frost moves to a new town in California with her "seemingly" perfect family. On the outside, they appear well rounded and put together, but behind closed walls...let's just say a lot goes on after dark. For one, her mother is a sloppy drunk, unable to resist the temptation of flushing out the past, leaving Echo to single handedly parent her little brother. When she starts at her new school, bad luck seems to follow her everywhere as she has a run in with the school's most sought after bad boy. TRIGGER WARNINGS: (note these are just general, there will not be warnings within chapters when it's about to happen) *physical and mental abuse* *alcoholism* *self-hate/blame* *toxic masculinity*
