"Smile, my son. Isn't the world colorful?" His mother said, lying down on her deathbed. She's already quite old. He didn't quite understand as the world for him is currently black and white. So, he just replied with a fake smile.
"All the colors, both dark and vibrant, are needed to paint or it would be too sullen or too bright." His mother explained as she held his hand with a soft smile.

"I can only watch her from afar." As he realized his biggest mistake himself, he added, "Take the chance, kid. Unlike me, you will know what should've happened if you did. You wouldn't regret like I did."
