This is not the typical Adventure Time fan-fiction, at least not in my eyes anyway. Marceline is oblivious to many negative surroundings and, cannot be bothered to rethink any decisions she has made. Now that she's with Gumball, who's not really the best boyfriend, all seems right to her. She couldn't be more happy, because she's just another cheerful, always happy and bright vampire in the land of Ooo. Until one day, Gumball looses his temper causing their relationship to crumble to nothingness and attitudes to change completely. Resulting in the original characters we all know and love. They don't know whats wrong with him so they kick him out, Gumball ends up bringing Marshal to His castle and tries to care for him But since Marshal now has feelings for Gumball, his revived heart beats faster. Gumball had asked him on multiple occasions what was wrong, but all he got in response was "it hurts" and after Gumball comes and sits next to Marshal, he hears marshal saying that the pulsing got faster.
