This is not the typical Adventure Time fan-fiction, at least not in my eyes anyway. Marceline is oblivious to many negative surroundings and, cannot be bothered to rethink any decisions she has made. Now that she's with Gumball,  who's not really the best boyfriend, all seems right to her. She couldn't be more happy, because she's just another cheerful, always happy and bright vampire in the land of Ooo. Until one day, Gumball looses his temper causing their relationship to crumble to nothingness and attitudes to change completely. Resulting in the original characters we all know and love. Gumball had asked him on multiple occasions what was wrong, but all he got in response was "it hurts" and after Gumball comes and sits next to Marshal, he hears marshal saying that the pulsing got faster. Asking where it was, and finding out it was his heart, he is shocked. Etc etc etc.
