17 year old Jesy Chambers has just recently moved to Ireland with her mum and little brother from London, England. They left to escape her horrid killer father.
She meets a girl named Rydel Lynch who is one of the most popular girls in the school, Rydel's boyfriend Louis and herself quickly become close friends with Jesy as they are in the same form class together.
It comes to last lesson of the day; Science.
Jesy's whole class is to come up with a project of something they have done in the past over the whole school year. She's paired up with the schools geek, Niall Horan who's constantly bullied for being smart and interested in school work.
As popular meets geek sparks fly between the science partners and something beautiful blossoms.
