The boundaries between real and myth may be fading, but the people of Iherion is not prepared to face the nightmares from their childhood, nor are they willing to accept an orphaned, power-less girl as one of their own.

When Khoeli leaves behind the monastery where she grew up, she unknowingly sets into motion plans that have been brewing for hundreds and hundreds of years. But with a past that's still foggy and little idea of the power she holds, how can she ever learn to lead Iherion against the shadows? Are the shadows even the true enemy?

The fall of the Tu'uli upended Zamir's former life as a guard's son. Distraught and left fatherless by the murders, he unwittingly formed a lifelong contract with the mythical Mo'ori - gifting him with raw power flowing through his veins. But when a retrieval mission puts him face to face with a person he thought was dead, it takes every ounce of his being to hold back the truth about her past.

While Khoeli takes her first steps into her newfound powers, Zamir grapples with a terrifying secret as the ghosts of the two's tangled past come to collect their dues.

The city holds its breath. Bells fall silent, markets cease, even the sea seems to freeze its rhythm. A judgment awaits: the execution of a student suspected of carrying the legacy of the demon. But who is this boy? He comes from a remote desert village, hidden from the world. A quiet observer, more familiar with the pages of old books than with the voices of his peers. Raised by his aunt, while his mother-herself a servant of the goddess Thal'ra-regards him as a stranger. On his seventeenth birthday, the great festival begins. And for the first time in years, he speaks again with Elyra. She lives in the village like he does, yet comes from beyond its borders. A foreigner, and yet familiar. Between them something stirs that surprises them both: an unexpected closeness. But as the celebrations unfold, one figure remains missing: Zaire's teacher, his master since childhood. No one knows where he has gone. And as the absence of his presence grows heavier, two figures in white cloaks draw near. They carry prisoners whose very sight raises questions. Why has the teacher vanished? What are these figures? Who are the prisoners? And why does his own mother cast him aside so mercilessly... A web of faith, betrayal, and hidden truths tightens. And at its center stands a boy who will soon learn that even the most distant desert lies beneath the gaze of the gods.
