I wrote this a while ago when I was missing my grandmother. Today I visited my friend in the hospital and I couldn't really figure out why I couldn't handle being there. I soon realized that the last time I was in a hospital was when I visited my grandmother not too much before she was moved back into her home before she passed away. I had someone like that once, someone I adored with every fiber in my body she meant more to me than anybody else would. She was my rock, my world, my heart in the shape of a person. I had her my whole life, I have known her forever and just like that she was here yesterday and gone today. I am left with thousand moments that I had taken for granted, mostly because I had assumed there would be thousand more. I never thought that when I fell asleep that night, I would wake up and she would be gone forever.
