Hello! If you know me I absolutely Victor Hugo's Hunchback of Notre Dame but believe the disney take that came out in 1996 did the book wrong in many ways. One being one of the biggest characters in the book, Claude Frollo. I don't hate the movie, just believe they portrayed him in a very vicious and bloodthirsty way, completely opposite to the book. But no matter, he's an amazing, deep, original character and I think he deserves some fanfic. So I've taken it upon myself to write a version of the movie all my own and if you've read my other story ("The Servant of Judge Frollo") then you'll know I've been busy. This one however is a little more twisted with new characters and a darker plot. It all starts when Judge Frollo is told the very last thing he wants to hear. He is getting help from a foreigner who has ties to the king named Nikolas to control the larger gypsy population. Frollo and Nikolas cannot stand each other but decided upon a plan to infiltrate the Court of Miracles and capture the gypsies once and for all! But will love and jealousy get in the way? Especially when Healia and Esmeralda get involved? A fanfic filled with hopeless love, lies and bitter truths I really hope you all will enjoy this new fanficion. Please read and review!!! Bella and her younger brother Quasimodo, have lived under the cruel care, of Judge Claude Frollo, since their mother left them on the steps of the Notre Dame cathedral. Bella can't remember much about either of her parents, though she refuses to let herself be taken in, by Frollo's lies. While Bella is one of the most beautiful young girls in Paris, Quasimodo is ugly and deformed, but Frollo keeps them both locked up for their safety. Unknown to Frollo, Bella has been sneaking out of the cathedral, ever since she was a young child, making friends with the gypsies, Frollo so despises. When a new Captain of the guard arrives on the scene, Bella finds herself in love for the first time, her brother has also found love in the gypsy girl, Esmeralda. When Frollo finds out he calls for Captain Phoebus and Esmeralda to be executed. Bella will do all she can, to save the man she loves, but as she spends more time with the gypsies, she begins to remember more about her past, and Frollo will do anything in his power, to make sure that she never finds out what really happened to her mother...

Judge Claude Frollo, enough said. Ever since I read a version of the Hunchback of Notre Dame I had praised Victor Hugo for his work. But when I decided to watch the movie? Well...let's just say I was screaming at how they has basically messed up a wonderful story, turning it from a tragic love story into what Disney does best, a movie that barely relates to the original source which was an ugly duckling story. In the book Quasimodo was a depressed figure at times with a temper at times but in the movie he's the hero, singing songs from Alen Menken! (No offence to him, his music is great) But no matter how much I found the movie an awful adaptation I couldn't help but become intrigued with really the only interesting character in the movie, Judge Claude Frollo. What made him different? Well he was a tragic figure, one of the church (I've accumulated an interest in the combats of religion) and for everything he did wrong, he tried to praise it as what God wanted. unique, scary and just plain perfect I couldn't help but start to write fanfic about this Prime Minister of Injustice. But the problem was I despised Esmeralda so I came up with an OC (original character) for him. Her name is Healia and her parents come from Greece before moving to Paris and being murdered, leaving little Healia alone. Luckily the gypsies found her and raised her as their own. This is their story together where Frollo, still quite young, tries to find out his true feeling for the little girl as she works for one year in his house due to an agreement.
