He knows of the rumours; word of her latest conquests travels fast. Each and every time, they seem to get more risky and unbelievable, yet everyone swallows them up without validating the gossip. He's heard of how she arrives at parties already drunk and how she leaves not even slightly sobered up and with some boy's arm around her waist. He's heard of the not-so-kind names girls call her when he passes by them in the hallways. He's heard these among many other unpleasant things, which is why he isn't so surprised when he hears that she stops coming to school.

What does surprise him however, is when he hears the same stories, retold in a different perspective: her very own.
