The best and worst events of Mace's life occurred in a summer long since passed. She was but a sixteen-years-old. Just a child, really. But that summer Mace learned more than any adult could learn in their entire life.
Even now, years later, Mace still reminds herself, "Wisdom breeds from one of three things: Tragedy, Love, or Time." She only had to suffer from two of the three that summer: Love and Tragedy. And both came in the form of Blake Philk.

EVERY SUMMER, four families make their yearly exodus to the British seaside town of Briarville. For Livia Wong, the trip had been tradition ever since she could remember. After my escape, and yet another but brutal last year at the same high school, my school sent me their condolences and made sure to inform my future college of my past. I didn't bother to say goodbye to my "friends" or Preston, my ex. The police allowed me to change things, including changing my name & hair, but other than that, I was still me. Once I got my new identity, I tried to start anew.
