"The world had just begun to awaken. The trees stretch their arms and the flowers open their eyes after long months hidden away. All around new life is coming into view. The baby-faced boy and the blue-haired girl take an unexpected flight together towards the unknown, still blind to who the other is. She spills her coffee and he drops his papers, both scrambling to clean up the mess. Hands graze, glances meet, mouths smile. A replacement coffee is offered under the dogwood."
The loud clicking stops as the Writer gazes at the young fools. Blue is tucked away. Blonde flops forwards. The Writer sits on a bench a mere meter away observing the exchange. An old typewriter occupies the Writer's lap, keys longing to be pressed again. The barely-aged fingers begin to pound on the worn down letters making simple words turn into beautiful phrases.
