Everyone knows the story of the beast. None really know if the story is just that, a story, or really true. Is there a beast? Is the beast looking for a girl? any girl? Or is there one girl that he has already set his eyes on?
May, a girl living in the outskirts of the city SilverStar, never really knew why people ever gave her a nick name. It did not suit her, her hair was cut short and unflattering, her skin was reddish brown, and her hair a flat dull brown-blond. On too of that she was large, not skinny and graceful like all the other girls of the city, walking around in there flower petal skirts, and too tight corsets. She just read, and walked, and worked. Why had they ever called her Rose?
The old castle had been hiden in the Silver Forest for hundreds of years, the once heavenly place, (physically if not really so for the majority or its occupants), was now thuroly earth. Dust covered every single centimeter of the outside walls, the, castles once glittering golden gates now are dull, covered in a cakey gray dirt, and large cobwebs, some still occupied by large spiders. The chains that bound the castle onto the rocky mountain ledge above the singing waterfall were the only clean object, except, the grounds. The gardens surrounding the chained castle glowed, each bud or leaf unique, each plant different. None were dusty. The castle, compared to the gardens, is a dark block on the perfection of beauty around it. The castle has definitely seen cleaner days.
A Beauty and the Beast retelling:
Once Upon a Time... there was a cursed forest where animals who could live forever existed. The animals lived in harmony with one another and away from the prying eyes of humans. However, this immortality had an unimaginable price: if the animals were ever to be killed and die, they would turn into the worst possible thing imaginable... a human.
As far as they know, no animal has been killed, until now.
"The beautiful red bird soared through the ocean blue sky and perched on the top tree branch. There it sang the most beautiful tune. As he starred at the bird, he noticed how the feathers shined in the sunlight. The bird had a bright red body but the top of it's head was dark black. As he put his gun down he heard a shot and quickly looked up. The bird fell from the tree. It had been killed."
