  When 10th grader Alice Bell finds a beautiful necklace on her friend Amanda's dresser at a sleepover, she just knows that she has to try it on. This choice changes her world forever, when it catapults Alice and Amanda into December 1776. With no way to get back home, the duo are stuck in the 17th century forever, so they task themselves with the mission to make the best of it. A task that is made easier by the sudden appearances of two notable historical figures: General George Washington and Benjamin Tallmadge. Can the two girls find love in a world that is foreign to them and change history for the better along the way? Or is the world doomed to fall once and for all?

When Calista excuses herself to the restroom, Talulla is left witnessing the whirlwind encompassing her room, swirling everything in its entirety. Shouting for Calista to come back, the both of them observe the wonder occurring in Talulla's room in shock. All of a sudden, it's as if a portal forms in their room, with a man stepping out, dressed in a suit, top hat, and trench coat. The portal dissipates with the whirlwind coming to a close; however, a mysterious man named Marvin Dicon suddenly appears in Calista and Talulla's apartment. After pressing him for questions due to the peculiar event, the girls find out that Marvin is from the past, specifically 1967. How did a simple affirmation ritual from a pamphlet gifted to the girls from a fortune-telling site cause time travel to occur? What are the girls left to do with a random man?
