Book 2 of The Cypher Trilogy

Three years had passed since that fateful day in the park. Three. In that time, something had changed her. She wasn't who she used to be, she was no longer that light hearted naïve girl that people ever so often seemed to like. And she was perfectly alright with that.

Sgt. Major Rachel Bennett, SHIELD's new favorite super-soldier. Equipped with a brand new attitude, a hard-ass exterior, and her band of loyal teammates forever on her six, no one was going to even try to get in her way.

Except maybe one person.

Perhaps he thought it would be easy to charmingly weasel his way back into her life.

But if there was one thing she knew, it was that when it came to Steven Grant Rogers...

Putting up a fight was just like second nature.

mizpah; (n.) the deep emotional bond between people, especially those separated by distance or death. "I've never known the love of a mother." In 1941, when America joined World War II, a young man named Steve Rogers wanted to do his part and join America's armed forces, but the military rejected him of how un fit he was. He just wanted to be a proud father to his daughter, Alexandria, who was born in 1936, when Steve was 18 from a accidental pregnancy. When Steve finally got the chance to prove himself, he did. He got accepted into an experimental program that turned him into a super soldier. Everyone was amazed, including little Alexandria. He later finds out that the same organization that made him a super soldier, was also helping Nazis. Steve knew he had to stop them, to keep his country safe, his daughter safe, even if that meant crashing a plane into ice to do it. Will he be able to keep his country and his daughter safe at the same time or will Hydra never stop? [Captain America: First Avenger] Book 4 of 16 #398 in brooklyn Cover by @themiko2
