Chance Hudson used to take life for granted until she knew how easily it could all be taken away. She lives in a small but mighty town by the name of Rocky River, Maine. Chance is titled indifferent by her classmates, but in a good way, Chance never had a problem getting along with people. She isn't a shut in, but many at her private school respect her in a way where they know she is independent, and her reckless lifestyle. Call it adventure, call it insanity, Chance couldn't care less. But nobody knows the past she used to have, her childhood is a seamless end of hopelessness and pain.
When a young man going by the name of Storm comes to school Chance sees something mysterious in his pistol black eyes, she becomes a little curious. Storm also notices this girl with the muddy converse that need to be replaced and her doggy eared mystery novels and the white Mercedes-Benz she drives.
Storm has a dark pass behind him also, his just a bit more unforgiving and when he learns more about this Chance Hudson he changes his opinion on her close to spoiled life the more he figures out her past. He puts all of himself into how she thinks, and why she never gave up on life almost like he has tried many times before.
The story is filled with romance and life. Hope of going uphill and sometimes crashing downhill. A roller coaster of feeling that grips you, humors you and just chills you. Join the ride of these two teens with their heart crippling stories, her reckless motives, and his figuring of optimism.
