She was crying and it was all his fault.
"No one deserves that. Especially you Janie." I paused to wipe a stray tear from her cheek, and leaned in to whisper to her, "You're perfect."
She continued to cry as she snuggled closer to me, if that was even possible. I felt her move her hands to wipe away her tears before she looked up at me. Her stunning hazel eyes were filled with tears, but she blinked them away. I held her gaze as I heard the roughness in her voice as she spoke.
