Roland, in his long and restless life, had met a lot of people. And, as people normally are, they were all unique. And, as his life often enforces, a lot of them had died at his hand.

One memory of a unique person who died at his hand won't leave him be until he gets the tale of their short and bitter companionship off his chest.
