Audrey had not said anything, just nodded and paid the lease. She was looking for just that, an isolated location preferably away from society. Jimmy's mother had noticed Audrey's dark circles, deep and caved in, tired from tears or frustration. She then stood in the window, watching flatly as the mother dragged her four children along to the disciplined father waiting impatiently in the motor car.
