Thea Jones išla je sama mračnom ulicom tokom noći punog meseca jer je dobila poruku od svoje drugarice da se sretnu na uglu. Međutim, kada je stigla na odredište, biva ugrižena i drugarica je pronalazi onesvešćenu. A kada se osvestila i ugledala pun mesec ponovo - postala je vukodlak. Christian McCurdy je bio sa prijateljem u kafiću iste te noći, ali kada ga je prijatelj ostavio samog zbog hitnog slučaja u porodici, rešio je da i sam ode kući ali takođe biva ugrižen, a onesvešćenog ga pronalazi konobar koji je upravo završio svoju smenu. I on je postao vukodlak. Spletom okolnosti, sreli su se u šumi dok su trčali i zbog svog instinkta da se moraju odbraniti jedno od drugog, preobrazili su se, oboje. Nakon što je sve objašnjeno, Thea i Christian su rešeni da saznaju šta im se dogodilo, i ko je odgovoran za to što su otrgnuti od svog uobičajenog života. Neću imati cover jer smatram da ne treba suditi knjizi po koricama.

Everyone in town knows about the sea monster. Every night, he goes into town to find his prey. He lures them in with his voice, only to bring them back to the ocean, to eat them. Few survive this, and the people who do, they lose their mind, like they were cursed. You can only gather from them that he was beautiful, his voice was like an angel's, and that when he took you into the ocean, he became a monster. He only hunted young men, women, teens, and the occasional twelve-year old. It was terrifying, because the people had no way to stop him. Every night, someone would go missing, or come back insane. They knew he lived in the ocean, and when people tried to bomb the area where they thought the monster lived, they would either be cursed, or just eaten by the sea monster himself. And the people who came back insane, they would always wander over the fact that the monster had not even a scratch on him. Teens, young men and women would fear for their lives, and lock themselves in their houses at night. But only one person refused to hide, either in bravery or utter stupidity. That person was Will Solace. So basically, this story is based on the cover art of the book. I just thought it was such a great idea and wanted to put it to story. I saw another person do this and they used the same cover art, and I hope you guys like my version! I, personally very much like it and hope you guys do to! (I don't own any of the characters or art work that appears in this fanfic. All of the characters belong to Rick Riordan.)
