Samantha Fox hates the term stay-at-home-mom even though that's exactly what she is. But she's also a children's book writer, coming up on the end of a ten year personal deadline to be published. If that happens, she's promised herself that she'll get a "real" job. At forty years old, Samantha's the youngest member of the Writing Wallendas critique group-four unlikely friends brought together through a mutual love of the written word. The crime television addicted Ruth is the group's leader, Penny, her overly dramatic sister, hasn't written a single word since joining the group, and Irene is the rich socialite who seems to get everything handed to her even her first published book. When the women decide to escape to a timeshare at the beach the week seems to be made for writing and relaxation. But when the Writing Wallendas discover the body of a dead woman in the condo downstairs, and the police determine her death to be from natural causes, their time for relaxation turns into amateur investigation. Things get more complicated when Thomas, a local fertility specialist and wannabe actor known for sleeping with his patients, becomes involved with Penny. Could his knack for showing up at the wrong place at the wrong time mean that he knows something about the murders? Or is he covering up for his mysteriously absent twin brother, Marcus? The suspects and clues continue to pile up, but can the Writing Wallendas stop the killer before the dead bodies pile up?All Rights Reserved
