How about,
"hey love, how's life?" Nah, too assuming.
Urghh..
Lemme take a break so I can bang my head on the wall for 5 minutes and think of all the reasons why I definitely qualify a 10 year stay in the nearest mental asylum.
I'm definitely sure the average normal person doesn't waste 200 sheets of paper just writing the perfect opening for a letter to their crush.

This is going to be weird. At first at least.
