Penelope Sage is misunderstood. But aren't all sixteen year olds? She just wants to be heard. She just wants someone to listen. To hear her out. To understand. But three years of agonizing pain has her trapped. She's locked within her feelings, unable to escape.
After an accident resulting in the death of her best friend, an accident she blames herself for, Penelope is plunged into a battle with herself and her inner demons. Three years later, she meets Malakai and his band of outcasts who show her what it's like to be herself again. They show her that it's okay to move on, but will he and his crazy friends be able to help her conquer her self loathing? Or will the memories of her past mistakes still haunt her?
