Once we are alone, he turns to me, "We need to work on your acting skills. How can a commoner be such a bloody awful liar? Don't you learn that when you are infants?"

"Oh, I'm sorry I don't lie for sport like you lot! Last I checked, it's the ones with the sticks up their arses who are so brilliant with deceit and after seeing your performance I know it to be fact! I've never heard such shit! As though I hold any regret, for telling that fancy prat anything, ha" I call back. Now that we are alone, I no longer require restraints as I let my temper run wild. 

He does something that takes me by utter surprise. He literally grabs my lips and pushes them together. "Don't you ever shut this mouth of yours!" I move my hands to his chest, trying to pay no mind to the heat radiating from him and give him a great push, shoving him a few steps back in surprise. 

"Don't touch me! Agh!" I let out before taking a breath, and with a little less force I add, "the King bought it didn't he."

"Barely," he grunted. My head snapped back at him, I was fuming. How could a man make me so incredibly angry with just a few words? This must be the great charm of the Prince, I hear so much about.

WINNER OF ROUND 9 - "A NEW WORLD" Something different for me to stretch my writing skills and get back into one of the things I love most in my life - to create stories. this 'work' idea has been created by Ambassadors here for this "Write to Rank Contest 2022" - each chapter (round) to be written from a prompt given by the contest creators. I was born into the royal family, raised as a princess and I always had to remember to act like one. My best friend Eric was always their for me and I was for him, I knew I wasn't able to marry him for he wasn't of Royalty. We'd always get into trouble then we'd sneak off and do our own thing. My my parents told me I'd had to be married and soon that man came. Later my mother and father was called away for a wedding and I was able to have two weeks running the kingdom alone, on the Monday of the second week was probably the worst day of my life because that's when the yellow letter came. _____________________ I am planning on editing the crap out of this book to fix up the mistakes and change a few holes I left open. Plus my writing style has advanced some bit, I add much more detail now.🙌🏻 Also Ive changed the cover photo to but keeping the same title. "What the hell Derek!"I shouted " I was scared shit-less that it was a kidnapper or murderer or gang member" It was NYC, who knew what happens at night and what kind of dangerous people are out there. "Shh"he said and covered my mouth. I bit his hand and he removed his hand from my mouth. "Ah, what was that for?" he yelled, his eyes getting darker as he pouted and rubbed his hand. "I don't know what you're up to but you're so being dumped"I told him. He was acting crazy and it was driving me insane because he wasn't telling me anything. He growled and ran towards him with his hands out wide to try and grab me, but I turned and kicked him in the leg as he fell to the ground. "Ha take that I took karate" I said proudly as he was groaning. I was a black belt student. I started sprinting when I turned the corner I saw Derek again with his eyes as dark as the night sky. What happened to his blue eyes?! "But you w-we-were- right there and n now you're here what? and w what happened to your eyes?"I kept stuttering. He seemed so brooding and dangerous and he didn't seem like the Der I knew and loved. Before I knew it, darkness succumbed me.
